You get up one morning and find the floor beneath your feet is chilly. Well, time to fire-up the good ol’ gas furnace and warm up your home. But when you turn up the thermostat, nothing happens. You go down to the basement (or to wherever your furnace is located) and see that the gas burners haven’t lit. What’s going on? And, more importantly, what do you do to fix it?
First … In most cases, you shouldn’t attempt to fix it! Although we’ll look at some simple solutions which may explain why the burners aren’t coming on, anything that would involve making actual repairs to the heating system must be left to licensed professionals. It’s hazardous to work on a gas-powered appliance if you don’t have the right training and tools! If you’re in doubt about your furnace, call our team for furnace repair in Salt Lake City, UT. We’ll be there fast and on time (guaranteed!) to have the problem remedied.

We agree, gas furnaces are nice. When it comes to keeping the dry and cold winters away from your home, a gas furnace has immense power and reliability.
However, if you’re reading this post, it’s because you have some concerns about the safe performance of a gas furnace—either the one you already have installed, or the one you’re thinking of installing. Are there safer ways to heat your home?

We know you don’t want to let go of the warm weather yet—but it’s already October, the change in the air has started, Halloween costume decisions are being made, and the colder weather will be arriving soon. It’s time to start thinking about your residential heating system.
You’re probably satisfied with your current furnace. If you’ve had it for less than 15 years and it hasn’t given you any serious problems recently, then you can plan to head into the winter with it once again warming up your house.
But we want to let you in on a secret … a way to enjoy better, more reliable heating with your furnace this winter, and the winters to come. Well, it’s actually not a secret exactly, but so many people forget about it that it sometimes seems like it is—and that’s regular professional heating maintenance.

It’s incredibly common for homeowners to forget all the tips and tricks they read in a manual back when their AC was installed and to start running their system carelessly as the years go by. The seemingly benign daily errors can cause your AC harm. Here’s some easy tips to make sure your home stays cool:

We hope your AC never runs out of refrigerant—because it would be bad news for your air conditioner. You see, air conditioners are not supposed to run out of refrigerant unless there are leaks in the refrigerant lines. If your air conditioner doesn’t develop malfunctions, it should retain the same amount of refrigerant for as long as you own it—around 10 to 15 years.

Of course, a heat pump isn’t actually magic. But when people find out that they can have a device installed in their home that looks exactly like an air conditioning system and appears to operate the same way, but can be changed over to heating with only an adjustment to the thermostat, it can certainly feel like it’s magic.
We’re going to pull back the curtain and show the mechanical and refrigeration magic that allows a heat pump to take care of a home’s comfort needs all around the year.

Ductless air conditioning systems aren’t a new technology: they’ve been popular in Europe and Japan for many years, where they fit well with smaller and older buildings. Until recently, ductless systems in the U.S. were mostly found in commercial buildings that had difficulty effectively spreading cooling to different spaces using standard ventilation networks. Now ductless is making a big impact in homes, and there are plenty of great reasons to consider installing one.
You can arrange for ductless AC services in Salt Lake City, UT with our experts. We’ll help you find out if ductless heating is a good choice for your next HVAC system installation.
